·1 Tree·

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

“Think about one tree and what it means to you?” was the brief that Bostock and Pollitt, London based design agency asked illustrators and graphic designers to come up with great ideas and pictures to feature in the promotional for Arjowiggins Graphic’s new range of recycled papers launching.

My piece is chosen to be part of the One Tree booket, using their template in which a number one forms the basis for the tree. Here are my words and thought behind the idea - There was a tree where me and my sister used to play as little girls. There, we could talked and tell our secrets to each other. I realize now that I wasn’t telling my secrets to the tree, but to my sister. She was my special tree and will always be. Do you remember that my beloved sis?

It’s all hand collage and lines drawing which are the things I always tend to do when I have ample time to making illustrations and it’s always fun!

·Spot the tiger·

Monday, October 19th, 2009

I have got a question “Should the UK become part of the EuroZone?” to illustrated for website Spot The Tiger a while back ago. I am very pleased with the piece, even could say it’s one of my most favourite and proud of. I did many sketches for this question and there were a lot of ideas that I thought it could be the one. Anyhow, this is the sketch I had taken further and here it is the illustration I have depicted. It is much more powerful in an actual size I have made which you will be able to see it before your eyes later next year in its exhibition. I’ll keep you posted.

You can also see it on their site here, don’t forget to have a look on the news page, I am also there… .oh yes, I have been spotted!

·Le Fanzine Music Blog·

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

I did this piece for my friend whom I never actually met in real life. we first met almost 10 years ago on Audiogalaxy while I was still surfing around music site and downloading all new songs from unheard bands. Some of those bands have become famous now, but some have already gone. .. I am still listening to some of them, new and old and they are still as good as before.

Unbelievable we are still in touch and he is now running a music and film blog “Le Fanzine” He asked me to do some design for blog head whenever I have some time which I had and already done the job. However I don’t think the site has change its design to my version yet, so you might please check the actual site later? I am also thinking of redesign the logo, should be fun.

Here we go have a look at what I have come up with. It’s kinda spontaneous approach of creating it, but I do very much love the end result and he does too.

Below is the look and feel of the blog, anyway I think it hasn’t change yet and still using another illustration which is not mine. If by any chance you are reading this, change it to mine, Te!

I don’t download song from internet anymore, Yo does. After we listen to new songs if we like the tunes we buy vinyls. If we don’t so much into the song but its sleeve is completely charm us, we buy that record anyway!

·Design Week magazine·

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

It has been quite a busy month for me with some regular works and also some exciting ones.

Starting with my first ever job with Agency Rush which I do pieces for Design Week Magazine cover and internal use. It’s a Freelance Salary Survey issue, so it is pretty much close to what I am doing now. The article is about that we are about to coming out of the recession and beginning to look to a brighter future, at last.. . That’s why there is an explosion of colours like firework as a main element with all those creative people out and about.

It was a tight deadline job but I am very happy with the outcome :)
