I was a part of Secret7″ exhibition that showed on the Record Store Day week at the Idea Generation Gallery, london. My piece’s inspired by Bombay Bicycle Club’s track : Lights out, words gone. Below is their description of this project.
Secret7″ is an exciting project combining music and art, all in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

The project set out to rekindle some of the excitement for vinyl sleeve art in the digital era by exploring how a track would be interpreted by an array of brilliant artists. And raise a load of cash for Teenage Cancer Trust in the process.

Last year The Cure, Florence & The Machine, Bombay Bicycle Club, DJ Shadow, CSS, Noah & The Whale and Ben Howard selected a track and invited designers from around the world a chance to produce their sleeve via Talenthouse. Thousands were submitted and whittled down by each artist to their favourites.

These have been joined by designs from our line-up of musicians and a crack team of creatives.

To name just a few: David Shrigley, Michael Spencer Jones (Oasis, Verve), Central Station (Happy Mondays, Black Grape), Inkie, Toby Mott (De La Soul), Mr Bingo, Stylorouge (Blur, The Cure, Morrissey), Richard Evans (The Who), Pete Fowler (The Horrors) and Grammy winner Peter Corriston (The Rolling Stones, Billy Idol, Carole King, Debbie Harry, Led Zeppelin, New York Dolls and Tom Waits).

From Wednesday through to Friday the collection of hundreds of individually artworked sleeves will be displayed for viewing.

Come Saturday – Record Store Day – through to close on Sunday the exhibition is yours to own. Each of the one-of-a-kind heavyweight 7’’ records will be available to take home with you for a minimum donation to Teenage Cancer Trust of £40.

The exhibition has an air of mystery in that no-one will know who designed each sleeve, or which of our seven tracks is housed inside until after they have been purchased. Every penny profited is going to Teenage Cancer Trust.

·Computer Arts cover + Interview by numbers·

Once again that I got a chance to do something fun with the Computer Arts, Thailand. This time they asked me to illustrate their first issue cover of 2012 with a ‘design forecast’ concept. The exciting and bright future of the design realm was my idea behind it so the colourful shapes and the optimistic feel were surely included in the piece. And for the typo design, Yo Yota was the creative brain behind that Desing Forecast badge in which he took all my elements into an account so the design he created can be harmonized in with my illo and made the overall look rather stronger.

I myself was also interviewed for the feature ‘the making of the cover ‘ in which I talk about my work, and play.

Work in progress included too.

I must say I am more than happy with the outcome!
